Canlis Restaurant: A Quintessential And Most Romantic "Seattle Spot" For An Elopement!

Last night, I had such fun!

Christian and Kristin arrived in Seattle from Boise, Idaho and with two close friends, were married in an intimate private room at Seattle's Canlis Restaurant, overlooking Lake Union.

I love Canlis for a sweet and intimate ceremony. It has a unique charm and ambience specially suited to a wedding ceremony and celebration.

A Favorite Venue/Location For Your Small & Intimate Wedding Ceremony: The Salish Lodge

Over the years, I have traveled to The Salish Lodge for wedding ceremonies of all sizes. Whether your guest list is 2 or 200, The Salish Lodge is one of my most favorite venues for a wedding ceremony.

For a small and intimate wedding ceremony, you and your witnesses can find a hidden cove to exchange vows or perhaps get married on your room deck/patio overlooking Snoqualmie Falls.

And to celebrate your elopement or small/intimate ceremony, be sure to make reservations for breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Lodge's restaurant ~ reserve a table overlooking the Falls and toast to your happiness! www.thesalishlodge.com

Elope Seattle! And Don't Forget Your Wedding Dog!

If you are eloping, and your dog(s) is a beloved part of your life, don't leave the pooch behind!

Each year, I marry a number of couples with Fido at their side, just like Charlie here, who was the "ring pooch" for his guardians, Danny and Amber.

Whether your guest list is 2 or 200, involving your wedding canine in your wedding ceremony is a personal choice and often a highlight for many couples.

Whether your dog walks you down an aisle or path, presents the rings at the ring exchange or just enjoys your exchange of vows, all make for a lifetime moment.

So, if your dog(s) is a beloved family member, buff up your guest list for Fido and elope in style! If you are coming to the Seattle area from out-of-town, many Seattle-area hotels, bed and breakfasts and Inns warmly welcome dogs and their guardians and the opportunity to host an elopement.

Your Seattle Elopement! All Styles ~ Planned and Last Minute ~ It's All About The Love...

Like life, an elopement can be simple and it can be complicated. Each couple I work with has a different and poignant story. For instance, this week:

~ Kevin and Melinda were married in the middle of snow flurries in Snoqualmie, in front of a roaring wood stove at a private home.

~ Jim and Rebecca were married on the Harbor Steps in downtown Seattle, the site of one of their first dates.

~ Gary and Denise exchanged vows with their beloved dog and two witnesses at the Marymoor Dog Park in Redmond.

~ Richard and Felicia are being married today and the circumstances are very bittersweet because a beloved family member is gravely ill.

An elopement - getting married in a small and intimate way - may be light on the planning but it is huge on defining a life moment.

And in this work that I do, I so incredibly grateful to be a part of the tapestry of love and life.

Elope in Seattle/Tacoma, WA ~ 3 Fav Locations For Getting Married In Puget Sound in 2011

In the Wintertime, there are still so many fabulous venues and locations for your small and intimate ceremony here in the Seattle/Tacoma, Washington State area.

Three Of My Favorite Venues/Locations/Ideas:

~ A Seattle/Tacoma City Park: Snuggle into a Seattle or Tacoma hotel or bed and breakfast and brace the chilly weather and get married in nature. Ideas include Volunteer Park in Seattle, Chism Park in Bellevue or Point Defiance Park in Tacoma.

~ Bacon Mansion on Capital Hill - talk about one-stop shopping for your small ceremony. This is a wonderful and vintage bed and breakfast and offers a lovely indoor as well as outdoor option for your ceremony and the opportunity to splurge and spend the night.
