A Sweet Morning Elopement At Seattle's Tulio Restaurant

Kara and Josh. 3.24.12

Surrounded by 15 family and friends at Seattle's downtown Tulio Restaurant on this festive March Saturday morning, Kara and Josh exchanged vows and celebrated their loving relationship.

I love morning ceremonies.

You often get great added value as Seatt;e venues are happy to have the morning business. It gives a couple the option for brunch or lunch. AND the two of you get the rest of your day to create lifetime memories on a wedding day.

As you consider a time of day to elope, consider the morning. Not only are area restaurants more available on a weekend morning, but local parks are also less crazy during the peak months, giving a couple more outdoor options and privacy.

From Alaska to Seattle! Michael and Angie's Small & Intimate Ceremony, Seattle Style!

Michael + Angie = Seattle wedding!

On a cold and blustery day, Michael and Angie were married at Seattle's Edgewater Hotel, surrounded by close family and friends.

This couple wanted a small and intimate ceremony and celebration - and with a personalized ceremony and dinner with their best family and friends, they got their wish.

The Edgewater Hotel in downtown Seattle is a perfect venue for a tiny wedding celebration.

I particularly like the waterfront room which is adjacent to the Hotel's dining room. This is where Michael and Angie were married and where they celebrated with a beautiful dinner. I've been to this room numerous times over the years and it's a favorite for a "Seattle waterfront" wedding experience!

Doing Something Fun and Festive Within A Tiny Wedding Ceremony...

Look at the fun in this fabulous photo taken during David and Lindsay's small and intimate wedding ceremony at a bed and breakfast on one sweet afternoon on Seattle's Capital Hill.

Yes, they are pulling a fisherman's knot!

And you thought rituals were only for larger and more formal wedding ceremonies...not!

Today's tiny wedding ceremony is all about joy - fun - intimacy and uniqueness. Today's intimate and small ceremony gives a couple a profound opportunity to incorporate unique elements that celebrate a loving relationship.

I love working with a couple within a small and intimate ceremony to create a unique ritual that they can carry forward into their marriage. It's not about the size of a ceremony - it's about doing something that at the end of the day, you look at each other and have that feeling that says, "that was truly us."
